Manatee: "What?!? School for the Dead has show this weekend?"
Gopher: "Yes. Two show."
Manatee: "Are underwater?"
Gopher: "No. On land."
Manatee: "Figures."
That's right folks, SFTD has two crazy shows this weekend. Did you know that? Do you care?
The first one is the craziest one. Under the name "Ning!" we will be playing on Saturday at the Cup and Top in Florence, MA at 10:00 A.M. Yes, A.M., as in god awful early in the morning It's an all ages show, but I have the feeling most of those ages will be between 3 and 6.
We'll be treating this kid-friendly performance like a livingroom show. That means there will be no microphones involved. Which, if you are me, is kind of terrifying. But, it's healthy to get out of your comfort zone. Right?
It's a free show and we'll play for probably 45 minutes. Not sure what songs we'll deem appropriate yet. There might be a new one in there. It's hard to say. We won't be able to have a full band rehearsal before the show so it's all up in the air.
The Second One is the craziest one. We're playing a free outdoor show right in the center of Northampton. It's in Pulaski Park (that's the little park right next to the Academy of Music) on Main Street. We're playing from 1:00 to 3:00.
It is our annual free all-ages outdoor back-to-school concert. The weather looks like it's going to be beautiful. You should stop by and frolic in the grass. Bring all of your friends. Tell your pets.
UPDATE: That show in Pulaski Park is on SUNDAY. I forgot to mention that. Sunday at 1:00. Sunday! Sunday! Sunday!
