Friday night's Fawns Cd Release Show was excellent. We had a blast. A blast I tells ya. A blast. Blast.
Blast it! It is too dang hot to do any-dang-thing!
Didn't stop us from recording four Sitting Next To Brian songs on Sunday, though, did it? No. It didn't.
And what about Monday night's Syd Barrett tribute at The Elevens in Northampton? Eh. It was all right. The people who played Syd Barrett songs were good. One band came and strangely played three songs of their own.
The crowd thinned out and so did I before the night was through.
But the walk home was lovely. Humid and still, the trees and plants were full of singing insects. They were doing their own tribute.
My head is slightly spinning from somany things to do in such hot weather. Big things on the horizon for me, folks, and I'm not just talking about those hulking cumulonimbus clouds. I'm talking about secrets.
"I'm not talkin' bout, talkin' bout anything." Treefort was great on Friday, so was Jason Bourgeois the Closet Romantic and his new band, The Closet Romantics (disclaimer: not actual band name).
See how hot it is? My sentences are melting.

Are you having a baby? For some reason, when I saw you at the cuckoo intersection yesterday, and shouted out "How was the Syd Barrett show?" and you replied pretty much what you have written here, but on the fly, I thought to myself, "Soon you will understand."
Sometimes even an "Eh" night looks good when you just want the chance to wander into some music and pretend to be a grown-up...
