I feel like it's been a really long time since I posted here.
I'm wearing shorts and all the windows are open and I feel a slight sinus pressure. It must be May!! I associate this exact feeling with having to study for finals at UMass. How can I study when the birds are singing, the ladies are sunning themselves on the lawns, and my sinuses hurt from the pollen? "Don't ask me, dude, I'm way baked" answers the kid in the Ween shirt.
Alright, so Harry and the Potters.
I consciously avoided looking at their myspace page and didn't read the interview w/ them because I was already intrigued, but I wanted to be absolutely surprised.
What I didn't expect:
1) a packed house made up of
2) 80% female under 21
3) sons and fathers singing and dancing together
4) for me to be one of the few who didn't know every word to every song
5) to be asked to shout "SPEW!!" into a microphone (I was approached, and I did shout it)
6) The guys to be so nice and polite and to look like Don Lennon's little brothers.
7) The songs to all be so great and funny and clever and well written, and for them to command the stage and the audience so, so well
8) To feel like I was watching a TMBG show circa 1986
9) For the SFTD show to go over so well
10) The drum machine programming was excellent.
11) To have to wait 20 minutes to load out because of the line of autograph seekers.
Thanks to the Horse for asking us to be privy to this secret society.
