Conversation in my head

Pertaining to the recent news of a Partridge/Hitchcock collaboration.

Andy:
Shall we use my drum machine for recording or do you have a drummer in mind? I can't really afford to pay anyone..

Robyn:
Well, I met this guy in Northampton, Massachusetts last year. Brian, I think it was. A friend of Lloyd Cole's. You know Lloyd.

Andy:
Aah, yes. Wrote some songs with him a few years back. Never saw the light of day. Go on.

Robyn:
Anyway, I was pretty smashed, and, well, we all were, but I seem to remember it sounded pretty good. And he'd probably do it for nothing. Plus, he's got great hair.

Andy:
Oh, THAT Brian? I remember him from a record signing in Boston. Gave me his band's CD. Not that great. In fact, he just sent my label his solo CD. Also not that great, but I agree the drumming was good.

Robyn: So, should I get his number from Lloyd?

Andy:
Eh, no. I'll start programming the drum machine.

Robyn:
Right. And I'll open another bottle of Bordeaux. Cheers!

Stop it. The phone might just ring. And if it does, lemme know if they need a Dave Gregory.

It could definitely happen! After all, your great hair is one of the natural wonders of Northampton.
