My whole life when people have asked me about my favorite musicians, I have mentioned Jane Siberry. People usually then say, "who?".
Ken is the only person, besides my brothers, that I know who knows her music well. My brother, Alvin, and I actually spent a fair part of our Thanksgiving trying to figure out how to play "The Walking" on the piano. I almost called Ken for help.
One thing about Jane is, I never see anything about her in magazines or what have you. But, now, I have this show where I am sharing the stage with her (Iron Horse: Dec. 16) and here she is on BoingBoing all of a sudden. It's an interesting article about her approach to music downloads. You might enjoy reading it.
Speaking of Jane, I got a call from her people last week and she will be using my Telecaster at the Iron Horse show. My guitar is getting around, first Robyn Hitchcock now Jane Siberry. What next? Edgar Winter? Syd Barrett?

Don't forget, I was among the first to use that guitar. And I'm proud of it. In fact, the only recent photos of me playing are with that guitar. Thanks for that.
PS...Having me use it is almost like having Syd use it (not talent-wise but Syd and I ARE both bald and crazy now.)
