noise

Today=noise.

I had today to sleep in--coulda slept 'till 9, which is pretty late for me.
Alas, at 7:55 I awoke to 5 simultaneous chainsaws going in SurroundSound (tm).
Then, fresh out of the shower, my neighbor was on the phone, telling me I should move my car now because they were going to be blocking the driveway most of the day.

Looking out the window, I am BUMMED to see that they SERIOUSLY trimmed the chestnut tree out my kitchen window which was squirrel central. My cats and I found the daily squirrel parties to be endless entertainment.
Now, all that's left are the highest branches you can't even see from my second floor window.

Now they are calming down, but my upstairs neighbor sounds like she's steamcleaning her carpet or something.
Maybe I shoulda just gone to work.
In a couple hours I'm going to the Cape and will play a wedding on Nantucket tomorrow.

And I'm bummed 'cause A was going to visit this weekend, now she can't. Later this week she goes to Italy.
So, it's Thanksgiving in Venice for me.

Lastly, I started to watch DIG! the story of the Brian Jonestown Massacre+Dandy Warhols last night. Oh, wow. Craziness. A true tale for my generation of indie vs major, insanity vs stability. And the fact that both bands are 60's obsessed hits home. Maybe if my family never moved from California, I'd have joined one of those bands.
I've always dug the BJM I've heard but thought the Dandies were cheesy+calculated.
