When I first procured a CD burner in 1999, I transferred a compilation of Humbert and Humbert-related tracks from cassette to CD and burned a pile of copies. There were no covers made but I did write some liner notes for this compilation lovingly titled "Snogs by Humbert." I discovered I have four copies left (with the liners) to give away if anyone's interested. The fidelity is hissy at times, it's not mastered, and due to the age of the copies, they may not even play on every stereo but there is some delightful music to be heard among the 24 tracks, such as:
-"Baby's Wedding Day," a brutal blast through "Mallcop!" and "Baby's In The Boneyard"- three live tracks from a Baystate show in November 1997
-Ari and I playing "Beautiful Lesbian" live on WTCC in May 1996
-Henning, Paul and I goofing on Ari's "I'm Fallin' 4 U" in his absence
-Several Henning, Ari and Tony solo 4-track excursions that are all worth hearing
But for my money, the really priceless tracks include me intentionally ruining a rehearsal take of "Betty Blue" with a triumphant blast of notes that will either make you hurl and/or wet your pants (or both) and a droll spoken piece where I separate all the snippets used in the sonic maelstrom of samples that concludes the Humbert song "Insulation."
Anyone who's interested, either write back via a comment or email tony@schoolforthedead.com
