Maybe this is a new tradition? Last time we moved house (2001), Shelly came up with a saying while we were packing that I recall everytime I lift something heavy, which is: "Don't lift with the back, lift with the neck."
This weekend while packing, I came up with a saying that feels like a keeper as well. Although it's not directly related to packing, it is indicative of the financial strain of moving to a new place: "Ya gotta spend money to waste money."
Here they are again, for wallpaper use:
DON'T LIFT WITH THE BACK, LIFT WITH THE NECK.
YA GOTTA SPEND MONEY TO WASTE MONEY.
There's also my favorite from the college days:
One breath at a time.
