No celebrity sighting today. Thursday I passed a cell-phone-yappin' Jared Leto (the actor who played Jordan Catalano in "My So-Called Life") on the sidewalk in front of Deals & Steals. Friday author Jane Yolen was behind me at the Stop & Shop & Stop deli. Yesterday we crossed paths with Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon twice, once in Thorne's, and then twenty minutes later at State St. Deli. Northamtpon isn't exactly New York, but it may as well be once we move out to Hardwick.
Speaking of the move, does anyone have some good ideas on places that might let us have some boxes for free?

Table and Vine will usually let you take some of the ones by the door. Once Dave and I moved with the help of some banana boxes from Cooper's Corner in Florence. They were nice!
Tony, like Kelsey stated, package stores are always a good bet, and I'll add copy shops (the copier paper boxes are excellent and strong) in there as well. One more bit of advice: go to the U-Haul place up on Rte 5 near Table & Vine, and buy a few of their kitchen-packing boxes. They are especially designed with compartments/sections for plates, cups, saucers, glasses, etc., and are worth the (relatively minor) investment.
Thank you both for the suggestions. As it turns out, one of Shelly's co-workers is in the process of unpacking after a move and has scads of boxes for us, including some of those fancy ones Rick mentioned. But if we need to augment our hoard with more, now we know some good places to go.
Thanks again-
Tony
Jared Leto lives in Northampton?
No. While the other two are Valley residents, J. Leto was in town with his band playing at Pearl St. I shouldn't refer to him as J. Leto cause it sounds too much like Jay Leno. I would just call him J.Lo but that name is of course reserved for Jason Loewenstein.
