I played two shows this weekend. Neither of them was with School for the Dead, though. I played as a member of the Mark Mulcahy band along with Ken Maiuri and Kevin O'Rourke. My job was to provide the decorative tinsel on top of the songs. I was in charge of the extra piano, organ, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, glockenspiel, melodica, and harmonies. It was great.
The first night was here in Northampton at the Eagles Club, where we followed one of my all time faves, The Figments. It was a room full of friends. The next night was at Bar in New Haven. Have you been there? It’s pretty cool, man. Weird design, it feels kind of like you are in a movie, and the pizza is superb.
I'll also be joining Mulcahy out in Albany on Thursday at Valentine's. There's another gig, a bigger gig, I guess, at Joe's Pub in NYC on Friday but I am already booked for a solo show at Shakago's in Springfield with Space Captain and Apollo Sunshine. I wish I could do both shows, but I can only do one and since I confirmed Shakago's about two months ago – that is the one I will be doing.
You should come out to that. I've heard nothing but good things from people I trust about Apollo Sunshine, and Space Captain is great. I’ll be scared and lonely in Springfield if you don't come.

The BAR show was great!
Thanks for making the trek down to New Haven! Are there any more shows planed with Mark?
Thanks, Jack.
Thanks for coming to BAR and thanks for writing here.
I have no news about any more shows at the moment. I hope to do some more with Mark, though.
