Last night I took a late listening drive. I had taken a break for a while from even thinking about "Looks Like I'm Tall", my recently completed solo album. We had spent most of Sunday and Monday evening recording basic tracks (drums and bass) for 11 songs for a new Fawns album. Ken and Brian played wonderfully. Everything, went well.

So, I took a drive. I brought along my master disc of the solo album and I drove around and listened. At some point, just after 1:00, I think, I was in the center of Northampton and the only other vehicle on the road was James Brown's tour bus.

So there I was, on this practically destered road, listening to my own little songs while driving passed one of the country's most well-known performers. What does that mean? Nothing.

I don't care in anyway about James Brown. I think he's a jerk. I heard recently, though (I think it was Brian who told me) that Brown plays many different instruments very well. So, I guess that's pretty cool. And he has a huge screen TV in his bus.

Anyway, I've confirmed that I like my album. There are a few little points where I cringe but there always will be. It has a nice personal homey feel, which is what I was hoping for, so that's good. Now I just need to save up some dough so I can make some copies, or find a label to do that for me. I've heard of a place called Rub Wrongways...
