Welcome to the working week.
I'm off today, so I can tend to the drugged up, swollen mouthed woman passed out on the futon.
What kind of Scorsese movie am I living in? The one that won an Oscar for Best Picture, "Wisdom Teeth".
So, since that's my only responsibility today, I was thinking back at when I got mine out.
Everyone's reminicing about the qualities of Gonzo Journalism these days. I did my own bit of it on August 30, 2001. The day before was Transperformance, and the next morning I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed.
For some reason, prior to passing out for hours, upon returning from the doctor, I was determined to write my Gig Diary for Transperformance. Follow the link and scroll down to August 29 and you'll see that I was pretty coherent for a post-op with a Hunter Thompson-esque cocktail in my veins. Probably Henning had to correct some spelling and grammar. Actually, he definately did (tee hee). I think I began it, passed out, woke up and finished it.

In fact, in searching for this, I read all the entries from December '01-to August '01. I tell you, for immediate post 9/11 and all that, we were having some good times. Some great photos too.

Apologies for mispelling Mark Mulcahy's name. It got past the spell czech. Who knew that 4 years later I'd be telling everyone that on April 12, you gotta go see him play at Bishops Lounge and buy his new CD which will be out that day because it's amazing and totally rewarding? (details at mezzotint.com
where you'll be greeted with a new song.
