Today I went to Barnes and Noble to pick up TWO copies of a UK music quarterly called "Comes with a Smile" (with the dreamy Bright Eyes on the cover!) http://cwas.hinah.com/

This is the first issue that's available domestically (it's been around a while). And what timing! The CD that comes with "Comes With..." includes an exclusive song by none other than Mark Mulcahy, backed up by none other than Ken Maiuri (bass, keyboards, percussion) and Brian Marchese (drums, alto sax) recorded by none other than Henning Ohlenbusch at Rub Wrongways Studio!!
Pick up a copy before they're gone (it's a perfectly square shaped magazine, smaller than most, and was positioned in the front row of the music mags--apparently, Barnes and Noble is the EXCLUSIVE carrier of this magazine for now).

The CD includes songs by Lou Barlow,Camper Van Beethoven, Ken Stringfellow, Low, the Heavy Blinkers and more! Interviews (and photos) with all of the above too.

And don't even get me started on how April 12 at Bishops Lounge, is Mulcahy's CD release show. Several UK papers and mags have reviewed it and it seems to be a 4**** affair across the board.
