Last year, this week, the Valley Advocate published a list of my New Year's resolutions. Let's see how I did:

Resolution 1: To finish the first full-length full-band School for the Dead album.
Reality: YES! Released it on September 25th.

Resolution 2: To start and finish the second full-band School for the Dead album.
Reality: NO! Not even close. Didn't even start it.

Resolution 3: To finish my own solo album.
Reality: Close. But No! Still needs a few more songs.

Resolution 4: To start and finish the second album from the Fawns.
Reality: NO! But most of the songs are written.

Resolution 5: To engineer and help produce a debut album from The Parents.
Reality: NO! It didn't even come up.

Resolution 6: To work with The Bourgeois Heroes in the studio and release an album.
Reality: OH!! So Close! The album WILL be finished before 2005 (will be finished tonight hopefully), but not released.

Resolution 7: To record and help produce a new Sitting Next To Brian album.
Reality: NO! Until recently, Brian wasn't even interested in the prospect. But now things are looking up.

Resolution 8: To record and produce some compilations of local artists.
Reality: NO!

Resolution 9: To play more shows in more places for more people.
Reality: Sort of. I didn't play more shows but I played more places thanks to my trip playing bass with Spouse and my adventures with Mark Mulcahy and Ben Katchor.

Resolution 10: To record more people whose music I love.
Reality: YES! But not enough. The past few weeks saw Ken Maiuri and Mark Mulcahy in the Rub Wrongways Studio

Resolution 11: To write better songs and make better music.
Reality: YES! Some of my newer songs are my faves. But, there aren't enough of them.

Resolution 12: To listen to more music.
Reality: YES! Thanks to Rhapsody - my online music server.
