"No, tighter...oh let me just show you how it's done..." The Red Sox are standing at the gallows, showing the Yankee Hangman how most effectively to tie a noose. Assisiting in their own death sentence. The Yankee Hangman was just gonna let the Sox have a final word, a cigarette, whatever. But the Sox on the gallows says, "Oh, cut the crap, just let us go already, we're going anyway..."
Well, what better thing to be doing while all this was happening but sitting on a stage with an acoustic guitar singing 5 Neil Diamond songs, telling anecdotes from his life, warming up the stage for Lord Russ doing his Elvis act?
I gotta say it made the evening a lot more pleasant.
