Nice description of rehearsal, Max.

Ning--1000 Times sounds nothing like the Beatles--yes, it's melodic, yes it's verse chorus bridge, but.....

That comment reminds me of when the Aloha Steamtrain was being interviewed by Tori for some unaired cable access show--she began a question with "Now, take a band today, like Oasis, who sound like the Beatles and...."

And I just had to stop her there.
"Oasis doesn't sound like the Beatles"
"Well, most people think they do. Anyway, so, retro blah blah.."

And I haven't forgotten it. If Oasis didnt' bang people over the head with their Beatles comments in the press, I think hardly anyone would ever lump the two. Blur, maybe, XTC, sure--they're (hell, Guided By Voices, Cheap Trick, etc etc) the heirs to the Beatles. And if that's the person's point, then sure--Henning you sound exactly like the Beatles.
Oasis had zero cleverness. Ning has plenty. The Beatles had plenty. Oasis just knew how to paraphrase Beatles lyrics and chord progressions.

But it's like if you sound like someone who sounds like someone who soundslike someone who sounds like the Beatles, you sound exactly like the Beatles.

Again, it's time to go home. Pardon my mumbo jumbo typo factor as of late.
