Now, this is what I call February. Cold, messy, and dismal.
To escape, I just read a great, great piece at Chowflap about Debbie's experiences while her twin sister was giving birth to Lula. Really nice.
Brian, I too, came home to a package yesterday. It was a DVD from my brother that he appearently forgot to give me at Xmas. It's the They Might Be Giants video collection featuring a number fo their videos and some bonus songs, commentary, and a couple Tiny Toons videos made for TMBG songs. It's funny good stuff.
I've been very busy taking photos: Spanish for Hitchhiking, The Fawns, Philip Price, and Spouse and working on recording a special project in the studio. Super bonus: I found a copy of the new Spanish for Hitchhiking album left for me in my mailbox this morning. I'll be listening and writing about it and their upcoming cd release show (Eagles on the 13th) over at the Eye On Northampton. I haven't had a chance to hear it yet but Max out did himself on the packaging. It's very pleasing.
Last night, while editing pictures, I tried to listen to some Blue Oyster Cult (because I never have before). I didn't like it. Not at all. Instead I enjoyed some Billy Joel, but then I went back to the prog-rock and played the first album by Asia. The first two songs were their singles, which I remembered very well. But some of the other songs were so horrible I couldn't even believe it. So, I listened to the Feelies and everything got better.
