I was just reading a bit in Rolling Stone about an upcoming indie film about tribute bands. This movie features "dueling Monkee tribute bands". As well as Kiss and many others. Some of whom make up to $10-15,000 a gig. Some make a paltry $3,000 a gig.
I was thinking, if I could be in a tribute band, what could I do justice to and have fun in? Here's a list:
1)The Monkees
2)The Beatles
3)Jimi Hendrix Experience
4) The Who PT (pre-Tommy)
5) XTC
6)The Smiths
7) REM PAFP (pre Automatic For the People)
8) Buzzcocks
