When Ning and I were in the car, the topic of listening to music came up.
I've recently accepted the fact that my concept of "listening to music" (sitting in my room doing little else but listening to records) is really something I haven't done in half a decade and it probably won't change. We talked about portable MP3 players, the Rhaposody service, and what should I do next? I feel things changing, I've actually paid 99 cents to buy 4 songs in the last 2 months...we'll see.
Anyway, I just read this article in Salon and I'm glad to hear these pioneers, Eno and Gabriel, are again leading the way:

also, I just got a Nesmith update in which he said he IS going to put out his once-aborted new album, but he's going to release one song at a time on his website videoranch.com.
So, he's thinking along the same lines---pioneers will be pioneers.
