What you say is true. I'm one of those people that likes having the physical thing. Then there are people like Ken who really like having the physical CD plus all the artwork, etc. But I also listen to plenty of stuff only online and either download to hard drive only or don't download at all, if it's easy enough to find again. However, I think we need better search engines. I have trouble finding things I easily found or stumbled into before. The bigger the internet gets and the more websites change, the harder it is to find specifically what you're looking for. Add to that the way search engines work for profit nowadays. When you type in XTC, you don't get the band's official page or their record company first (and you sure don't get not-for-profit fan sites), you get "Amazon.com has XTC CDs" because they're paying the search engine for that to happen.
