One more thought.

When you consider that most people probably don't buy a cd per month, it becomes quickly clear that the labels/website will make more money this way than selling individual cds. The real question for me is how the promotion of the major 3 labels will make it all but impossible to find the music of lessor known acts. Maybe 20,000 albums isn't enough.

(Of course, AOL Time Warner, is especially raking it in because they make money not only from the downloads of music on their label but also from the internet access that people pay in order to be able to get to listen.com or the other sites through AOL.)
