Ok, an addendum to my earlier gig diary. I didn't mean to sound unappreciative for being added to such an interesting bill last night. Watching Kevin Barns & Co. felt incredibly inspiring. That was the second Elephant 6 collective band I've seen live (the first being Elf Power - they fall in that category, right?) and both shows left me completely floored. Ken, what was the song he (Kevin?) sang with the king's hat about love... the line about being unabashed? To me that was the most intense part of the evening.
We watched "Italian For Beginners" tonight, which falls under the category of *most misleading dvd package designs*. If you are familiar with the Dogma '95 school of filmmaking it will definitely live up to the lighthearted romantic comedy tag (it's fluffy compared to "The Idiots"). I recommend it anyway.
