The Living Rockumentary

I wrote a new super jangly song last night called "Something's Taking Over." It's pretty much done. I wrote the chords and verse melody on Wednesday night in the five minutes before going out for dessert with Max and Anya at Packards. I phoned in the melody to our voice mail so I wouldn't forget it. Then, yesterday while walking home, I called the voice mail and reminded myself how the melody went, came up with a theme, and wrote a few verses while walking home. When I got home I actually ran up the stairs so I could write it down. Sitting there for about 20 mintues, I finished it and went up to the new studio and laid down two demo tracks 1.) guitar and singing 2.) lead guitar and harmonies. Ten minutes later it was all done. It's super simple and poppy in a "Beatle Dennis" or "How To Swim" kind of way.
