88.9 FM- what's this? Lovely drive to work this morning. Lovely way to start the day- Louis Armstrong, Mills Brothers, a Sinatra/Prima duet, then Judy Garland & Howard Keel's utterly charming "Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better" ("I can hit a partridge with only one cartridge" "Well, I can hit a sparrow with a bow and arrow") from "Annie Get Your Gun." Delicious, happy music that makes me feel like it's almost spring. And judging by the teenage girl on her way to Northampton High who was wearing sandals this morning, maybe it is.

Listened to half of the Harry's 12-21-02 disc. Brian's spunky playing steals the show. Bash-happy that night, he was. (That sentence utilized Yoda sentence structure; or, Yoda sentence structure that sentence utilized). I laughed out loud at one part of the show where Henning uses the word "verbose" in his stage banter and then in half-second intervals, as if it was choreographed, Ken then clearly says "prolix," Max throws in another synonym I can't remember, then I say "loquacious." Had Brian had a mike, I can just hear him adding "garrulous."
