Too busy this weekend to bother with Blogger fodder but I have my own nice story to tell about Friday's blizzard:

Friday, I'm busy sorting the winter clearance postcards I've spent all day printing and listening to a CD I randomly plucked from my collection that morning- the CD itself is of random songs I plucked from Audiogalaxy website (RIP) last year. I notice it's 1:25 PM (I leave everyday at 1:30) so I've got time to work and listen to one more song before I punch out and go brush snow off my car in the parking lot. And the song that comes on next in that mix is a live version of Chris and Adam from Fountains Of Wayne playing "Valley Winter Song," a song from their upcoming album. It's a tune Chris wrote about going to The Baystate and it snowing in Northampton. Very appropriate considering the weather outside, of course. Nice tune to end my workweek on. I head home a few minutes later with the hook still rewinding and playing in my head ("And the snow is falling down/ In our New England town") and as I'm driving past Smith college, guess who's pressing the button on the pole to cross the street but Chris Collingwood himself (whose voice I am hearing singing in my head). True story.
