Rehearsed just me and Henning for a while last night then we toddled off to the RubWrongways listening room (that's the room directly above the wine cellar, adjacent to the marina on one side, the tapestry room on the other) to hear some Fawns and Marchese songs. I love the Mockingbird one, Bri baby. I concur with Henning, though. Needs some touching up in the vocals.

Here's a question for you, Brian. I'm still planning on bopping out a quickie solo album at RubWrongways (the only recording studio with an imaginary marina, at least in our backyard) and I'm guessing you're still down with contributing drums. I'm whittling down the candidates I want to record and am wondering if you'd prefer I give you demo versions (almost all of which are drum-less) of songs on a tape beforehand or if you'd prefer to just work on them with me in person. Let me know either way. I promise you will have some fun with these songs. I'd also like to utilize Ken on some stuff. And bass is up for grabs. I can do some myself, or have Henning or Ken or Max or whoever would like to play. Maybe everyone can do a couple songs each, whoever is into it. Brian can play bass, too, if he wants. It's that kind of album. I command all participants to have fun with it because that's how I want it to come across on tape. Apart from some of the acoustic solo things I'm going to add, the full band songs are on the whole quirky, lightweight pop thingies that require some inspired tinsel and zaniness. GOT IT? FUN, GODDAMNIT! Like Brian Wilson once said, "Yum Yum Yum til Daddy takes the T-Bone away." After all, for my recording sessions, there will be imaginary catering. And massages.

Brian, I thought you had splurged for the DVD Brainwashed. I was planning on borrowing the bonus disc from you. Oh well. I'd be happy to lend you the disc. I'd say I'd burn it for you outright but you should get a gander at the lyrics and inside pictures of George's gardens at his former castle. They're even nicer than the lush tropical scenery inside the imaginary greenhouse at RubWrongways studio.

Scotland, PA is on my list of movies to rent now. Along with Secretary and Autofocus, but I believe neither of those will be out for a while yet.
