So wait, we're NOT getting together for pictures tonight or we ARE? I can do it tonight but let me know if we're not and then I can plan to do something else instead.

Yes, Henning, I see what you mean with your Beatles mix influence on Martha. It's a little wacky. George Martin was limited with his 4 tracks so he made some strange choices panning-wise but despite the fact that you don't have the same limitations, the result is almost like you did. That's not bad, necessarily, but in keeping in spirit with what a trademark pre-1969 Beatles mix sounds like, it's almost like you were forced to mix instruments like you had only 4 tracks and things were shared on them. I like it.

My CD is messed up on Omnivore- there's a few seconds of silence in the middle of the song where the end of the first chorus and beginning of second verse should be. No big deal- I still get the idea of the mix but when coupled with the previous Photobooth CD debacle, I wonder if something's starting to go screwy with one of your programs. Could just be two unrelated incidents, though.

"String Radio" on Saturday night was lovely but somehow the highlight of the evening for me was the U2 "New Years Day" cover by L.B. and H.O. Their stripped-down version of it with sterling female vocals made this classic rock song sound fresh and good after these last 20 years of radio overplay.
