I'm so glad the snow will be gone in time for Christmas.
Last night I went to Wrongways Studios with another bottle of red and recorded more vocals. A varied lot of tunes:
--A slow psych-twang tune which will feature (hopefully) Bezo on co-vocals, Bruce Tull on pedal steel and a backwards guitar solo. One of my fave combos of styles is psychedelic and country, a la The Notorious Byrd Bros. album, several Nesmith Monkees tunes or Lee Hazelwood and Nancy Sintatra. Or recently, Beck.
--the "Steely Dan" song featuring lyrics partially written in high school, music written in college and an arrangement written this year. Joe Boyle on guitar. I need someone who can sing like Michael McDonald.Heening and Lesa suggested Brad.
--the "Journey" MOR hard rock song with a chorus you can't shake and a reason to stop associating with me.
--the "Roland Kirk/Archie Shepp, jazzers go African in the late 60's" meet XTCMonkeesDonovan song.
