Happy interrupted week #2.
So, I guess no photos tonight. Unless there are photos tonight, but Tony and I really are outta the band and so were told not to show up (see, Tony, what happens when you try to do a solo project in this group? Oust!)
I guess I missed the deadline, but I have nothing but great things to say about last weekend's Harry's show. The best since the NMF, I dare say, fun and quality-wise. I look forward to the weekend (or day) of basic tracks with Max. Tony, I haven't had a brow-wiper since the Figments '99 Comeback Special! Or was it at The Greenbergs' Rock and Roll Circus?
This past weekend I played tambourine again for the King Radio Philharmonic "Sick Passenger-LIVE!" Harry's performance. I went not planning to do it, but the look of anger and disappointment on Frank's face when I told him, made me jump right in. And it was a blast. And a great, great performance. A fun night.
Yesterday, we got a little further in my solo album. I did some sax, Ken, Lesa and I did some handclaps, and most amazing of all, Ken perfectly played the keyboard parts I sang to him. Descriptions like "Tex-Mex" and "Stonesy" etc were translated perfectly. There's one song which may have flute and tenor sax doing a kind of call and response thing, which I first had Ken do on keyboard sounds, as blueprints. That process was amazing, in that I began to think it was getting over the top, but he figured it all out. Man oh man.
Right, time for work.
Oh, I will be doing the Mass Moca/Mulcahy thing along with Ken. I'm very excited.
